My name is Sean Loughran and I am a consultant Otolaryngologist (ENT) surgeon working at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and Hope Hospital in Salford.
As well as being a general otolaryngologist I have an interest in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with head and neck cancer, including patients with thyroid disorders. I also have an interest in noise induced hearing loss.
Any patients who are concerned about any symptoms they may read about in the following pages should attend their family doctor who will be able to refer them to a specialist if appropriate.
