Blocked Nose & Sinus Problems

The nose and sinuses are incredibly complex in form and function. They perform 2 main functions, firstly to warm and moisten the air as it enters the lungs, and secondly to smell the world around us. The actual function of the sinuses is still a bit of a mystery.

When all is well the nose is very much taken for granted, only when problems occur is it fully appreciated how important a clear nose is.

One of the commonest problems seen by an ENT surgeon is the blocked nose. Everybody has had a blocked nose at some time or other, thankfully for most of us this improves once your cold gets better.
